Drapery study intent n°1

Ok, at some point I panicked and used black. It doesn't come up so much in the original, but in the scan it jumps up infamously. Must do this again and hide all black pastels.

Summer

Went to the beach for a week in January to help my mother take care of my nephews, tried to make a sketch per day but I didn't manage.

It wasnt too bad, I still need to learn how to paint with watercolours. I need to stop obsesing over the drawing of the sketch and paint more, so my watercolours will eventually look like watercolours (right now I feel like I could have used any other media).

Stuff...

Today I was cleaning my room, making some space for Amanda who will be visiting from Canada. I'm almost done.

Found some old sketch books, one of it had something written about going to Canada. There was a drawing of my cat Thelma dated 2002, so she had just arrived to live with me and she had recently been fixed and was wearing her collar. I don't think I would have drawn her picture differently today after 2 years studying animation, the good think is that I know that now.

This is NOT my blog but I will do an entry just so I can add some links of people who's work I like and want to keep close.

Who knows...if I ever find the time I might update this and actually post.
